Answers:
On a scale 1-10-- How stress full is your drive to and from work??
I took mine in Wheaton (I believe) last summer and I did not have to parallel park. I only parked in a regular parking lot, and parked once by backing into a spot behind me. I did not drive on anything but suburban regular streets with stop signs (not even a traffic light!). Seemed very basic to me... Just make sure you do a full stop on STOP's and do not cross the line next to the stop sign before stopping.Yes, I took my driving test in Illinois. However, I took it in 1963 and I suppose things may have changed since then. Go to a Secretary of State Drivers License Facility and ask for info on what is included in the driving test and they will give you a checklist of what to expect.
When will automakers make a full size truck that can get 50 MPG?
You basically have it all right. Expect all of that, plus a simple driving test, and knowing where your wiper, headlights, e-brake, etc are. Make sure you buckle yourself in and make sure the examiner have their seat belts on before you start the vehicle. If it's warm or cold outside when you take the test, turn on the AC or heat if available. Making the examiner comfortable always helps. *Brownie points*Are you going for your first test? You'll be asked to take an eye exam, a written test, and finally a road test. The road test includes, basic driving skills, backing, parallel parking, three point turns. Before taking the test make sure you are familiar with your vehicle. Know how to operate the high beams, wipers, horn, etc.
