Can I Put a Fuel Tank at my home for personal Use.?

The fuel is Unleaded and Diesel. I Live in Louisiana. What kind of regulations do I have to go through. Just wondering. Thanks.

It depends on your local codes, most communities do not allow underground storage. It is best to buy a poly Tank so that it does not rust out and leak on you. Diesel is much safer than unleaded gas. Gasoline storage alone would be more expensive because of the tanks and safety equipment needed to store it above ground. There is a company named Field Pup that produces a "mobile gas station" which is a trailer with a steel or poly tank that carries 300 gallons. Towing that on the road would probably need a cdl with haz mat. If you were to use any thing over 50 gallons, you would have to it delivered. If you were to bring 50 gallon drums to a regular service station, they could be fined because most stations are not licensed for dispensing large amounts of fuel in unapproved containers

do what i do i just have a 50 gal drum with a pump, and just as long as it doesn't leak ur ok and thats in arkansas, and that is what we do at work which is epa approved in arkansas and louisana
