Why are they cutting down trees that are growing by the edge of the M4 Junction 32-28?

Does anybody know what 'they' are planning? As a daily commuter I REALLY hope that they are planning on making this '2-lane stretch' into 3 lanes - but if they are not why have they cut down all of those trees?!

Man is pretty stupid - just wait for the flooding to start along that stretch because I expect the pea brains won't think about putting in extra drainage and the air pollution around that area will increase too so expect people who live close by to start developing asthma and other respiratory problems.
