Come to California and you will find the answer. LA has thee worst commute. I think San Francisco has horrible commute as well, but LA is absolutely ridiculous. I would say commute can be anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes at the least (typically), and up to an hour and a half to two hours (worst case) depending on the hour and area of travel.
