Question:
Just wondering (for those of you that don't practice this), what is your motivation to stay in the far left lane(fast lane) and go way under the speed limit. On that note when people pass you constantly on the right does it not occur to you to move over. I commute on I10 in Houston to downtown and you can't imagine how frustrating this is for anyone riding behind you. So why do you do it?
Answers:
1) Somebody's got to help the police slow down the speeders, so I've decided it's my civic duty to enforce the law.
2) I want to teach those tail-gaters a lesson, including that emergency vehicle behind me.
3) My cell phone works better in the passing lane.
4) I don't want to be going too fast, because my exit's coming up real soon way over there in the right lane.
5) I've got just as much right to be over here in the left lane as you do. What's driver courtesy got to do with me letting you use the passing lane for passing anyways?
How long does your morning commute take?
I don't do it, but I've heard people make the (stupid!) argument that it's their "right" to be in any lane they want and they shouldn't have to go faster than the speed limit in any lane because that's the law. Personally, I agree with you that the slow drivers are nightmares. How to get to bentley priory from Luton?
Thanks for asking!
i stay towards the middle because if its a long drive, you don't want to have to negotiate the exit lane everytime someone has to get on or get off. i hate when i slow down to let people in and they just sit there and wait till i get going to jump in front of me. in the left lane, you don't have to worry about people who haven't yet mastered the art of merging.
