Question:
I was wondering how many miles to the gallon a 2001 Grand Am with a 6 cylinder motor would get on the highway??
Answers:
What's it like to drive in the autobahn?
I believe the Grand Am has a 3.1L V6 which is the same motor that I had in my Sunbird. The best mpg that I ever got out of it was 33 mpg. Trips throught W. Va on I75 usually ran it down to about 25-27 mpg.New air filter, new plugs and a new PVC valve and check the air in the tires during the trip. In addition to using the cruise control as much as possible, you should be in the range of 28-31.
This varies by the amount of weight you have in the back of the vehicle and if you use the air conditioning constantly
Is there really a road in the U.S. that has no speed limit? If so, where is it?
In general, on the highway you could get 22 to 32 mpg...it depends on the car (how healthy it is), the way you drive etc...You should get 32 mpg
What is the best suv for me? any advice?
There's no easy way to know this. It can depend on your driving habits, tire inflation, engine condition, etc.. Just set your trip odometer to zero the next time you fill up. When it's time to fill again note the mileage since your last fill up and divide that number by how many gallons of gas you just put in to refill the tank. The resulting number will be your mileage. If your driving has been in the city, you're mileage on the interstates will probably be higher. Correct tire inflation will add mileage as will using premium gas. Also, if your motor is in need of a tune-up and new air filter your mileage will be lower then it could be.More Questions & Answers ...
