Commute question for NYC (Upper West/East to Great Neck)?

Well I use to reavel from PA to AZ by car but stayed on truckers routes. I went 70 all the way to MO, then to 44, to 40 in Oklahoma, then got off at Santa Rosa, NM, then follwed all way thru to White Sands, to Tucson, then on up to Phoenix. I went this way to avoid all them steep mountains and to avaoid all heavy traffic. Plenty of truck stop and rest stops along the way. A trucker friend gave me that route and been following it ever since.

As long as you stick to main highways you are good. Any "truck stop" will work for fueling purposes. Have a good ride.
