THe highest I seen is 70 MPHcan you park on a single yellow line?
The old universal 55mph speed limit on rural highways has now been largely abandoned, especially in the west. Speed limits for cars on rural Interstates and US highways in the west are now often as high as 65, 70 or even 75mph. There are often lower speed limits at night and for trucks.Speed limits in the USA vary from 65 to 80 mph on state highways depending on the state.
80 mph in Texas, I believe, I haven't seen any higher than that. Though some of the others say 95 in Arizona and Nevada, I haven't ever seen it, so I can't say for sure.
Does it bother you when a piece of crap car will drive by you at 90 mph?

The highest is 80 MPH, but only in really rural areaswhat is the speed limit on a interstate highway?
Montana is unlimited during the day in some areas.Speed limits in the United States are set by each state. Speed limits are usually:
25–30 mph (40–50 km/h) on residential streets
35–45 mph (55–70 km/h) on urban arterial roads
50–65 mph (80–105 km/h) on major highways inside cities
45–65 mph (70–105 km/h) on rural two-lane roads
55–70 mph (90–110 km/h) on rural expressways
65–75 mph (105–120 km/h) on rural Interstate highways
Western states generally have higher limits than eastern states, and some limits fall outside these ranges. For example, some two-lane rural roads in Texas have 75 mph (120 km/h) speed limits, and there are a couple of Texas highways with 80 mph (130 km/h) speed limits (see below). In contrast, the highest speed limit posted on Interstates in Hawaii is 60 mph (95 km/h).

But you almost never see poeple trying to use it as some sort of speedway. In ten crossings of the western US, I think I've seen one or two. Someone who was being an idiot would be a hot topic for discussion among the truckers on CB radio. There are very few state troopers out there, but they listen to CB...

75 i thinkhow can i find a way from riverside to ontario by bus?
I believe it's 80 in some parts of Texas. As for the rumors of 95 in Nevada, that's not true. It's 75. In Montana it used to be (might still be) "reasonable and prudent". So if you have a POS going 80 in the rain, you'll get a ticket. But if you have a Vette or other fast car doing 90, you'll be ok. Studies have shown that most people on the open highway have a comfort zone of about 70-80.75 is the most ive seen.
