Do you think a person saves money by never going below 1/2 tank of gas?
Well, I'm a truck driver and own my truck which means that I'm the one who pays for the fuel. As you know diesel costs more than gas these days. In order to keep the trucks rolling, we get a raise everytime the price of fuel goes up. It is called 'surcharges'.Otherwise we would be out of buisness. It is just enough to compensate us for the additional expense we have to endure. But when the price of fuel goes down,we get a pay cut.
Why are so many of us so averse to mass transit?

Well, what's to say that if you employer really wants to keep you on the job, he/she would agree to a pay raise for commuting to/from work. Address it. Never know if you don't ask. It could be a HUGE moral issue for all to benefit from and you would be the hero.More Questions & Answers ...
