When I was a teenager I was driving through a parking lot at night and it was empty and wet from the sprinklers, so I started doing fish tales in my car and the police were right there. They blocked us in and drew their guns because they thought we had just robbed the donut shop that was still open in the complex !Talk about an adrenalin rush ! My friend in the front seat was slow to show his hands and they were threatening that they would shoot ! They got us out and we explained to them that I was goofing off and they let us go.

I was driving down the 2 Freeway in Glendale California at about 85 MPH in the fast lane listening to my stereo cranked up at about mach 3. Suddenly I saw my off ramp for the 134 headeing to Glendale. Glancing in my rearview, I saw no one, and veered across three lanes while braking for the decending curve ahead. I thought I saw something in my right mirror, and then looked behind me in the regular mirror, but all I could see was a cloud of dust between me and the freeway I had just exited. As I was pulling into the traffic on the 134 I saw a CHP Motor Officer speeding towards me from behind with his lights and siren on. I pulled over to the right and he cut around me and blocked my car. He exited his motorcycle and threw his hemet to the ground. As I rolled the window down he began a ditribe about what an idiot I was and that I had almost killed him. It seems he was in my blind spot on the freeway clocking me for a speeding citation when I veered to the right and cut him off. He had to turn hard right and skidded into the dirt berm and finally regained control. Not only did I get a tongue lashing, but I got a ticket for speeding, illegal lane change and endangering the life of an officer. I paid a huge fine, had to go to traffic school and had my license suspended for six months. I actually thought he was going to shoot me dead on the side of the road.
Never been stopped, I operate my vehicle in a competent professional manner, and I guess my 69 Vdub original beetle doesn't attract much cop attention!

Well, I had just picked up my girlfriend from work, a local tavern, it was 2:30AM. We were heading So. on Lakewood Blvd toward Long Beach, Ca. She said she was VERY tired after a hard night of serving customers, and decided to lay her head down in my lap during the trip to her apt. (seat belts were optional in those days)Suddenly, cop lights were on and I was pulled over. The cop said he was sure she was engaging in some sort of illegal or immoral activity, but could see she was asleep, so he was starting to write a ticket for speeding, (which was B.S.) when he got a call to go to a robbery or something important, so I go to go home and engage in immoral behavior without a ticket.
