How much of the regular commute time is desirable?

I'm not quite sure what you're looking for, but I can tell you that I have a 25-minute (one-way) commute and it is perfect for me. It gives me time to sing (at the top of my lungs) along to the radio to get me jazzed up for my day and then enough time to wind down after a long day so I'm in a good mood by the time I get home.

My morning commute is 30 minutes. I couldn't deal with anything longer than this. I enjoy it because it allows me a chance to fully wake up. Plus I get to listen to the morning radio show. And I usually touch up my make up while stuck on the ramp, waiting for traffic to move. Luckily in the evenings it's only takes me 15 minutes. I usually get home at 7:00 pm so the traffic's gone by this time.
