Easy street navigator?

Ive been driving a stick car for the past 6 years and ive loved every bit of it! its the only way to go... i think it really comes down to each persons preference. For me i cannot go back to an automatic just because i like being in control ... perfecting my downshifts, upshifts, heel and toe etc.. it keeps me alert and aware of my surroundings.. its a way of relaxation and also allows me to release any steam ... its second nature something i dont even think about ... its apart of who i am.

Is a stick shift bad?

I LOVE stick shift. It's the only type of car I buy and drive if I can help it. I simply like having more control over the car. Plus better mileage. It's nice being able to slow down by downshifting instead of always hitting the brakes. Your brakes last longer this way. Automatic is BORING. Stick shift is faster. I could go on and on...

Why has gas gone so high now?

What sucks about stick shift? It can be tiring in heavy traffic. It also requires skill when stopped uphill on a steep incline.

No, eating doesn't suck with a stick shift at all. Once you get the hang of it, it's not hard.

How do I get to canal street shopping district?

Ilook at it this way...In a manual trans car, you are driving the car. In an automatic the car is driving you.
I love to drive a 4 or 5 speed car. Especially on a windy, curvy road. But in traffic, or even just cruising on the freeway,or expressway,or whatever you call it where you are, there is nothing like an automatic with cruise control. And a nice comfortable 8 way seat.

Driving in London?

Yes. There's not a single thing that sucks about it.

Is it better to rent a car or use my own for a 1000 mile road-trip?

I love manual, even thought I have an automatic. I love the manual because it gives you more control of the car as well as the power you're putting into the wheels. The bad thing is, is if you live in a city where there's heavy traffic. Mechanical problems are less compared to automatics, and a whole lot cheaper... Hope this helps.

Where can I find some statistics (online) on hitchhiking?

I have two cars, one is 5 speed second is automatic. I almost never drive automatic. My first car was manual and since then I only drive manuals for 12 years. It's so much better. It's better to control the vehicle, better for gas, more reliable, less expensive and simple in maintenance. The only downside is when you sell it, not everybody can drive a manual car.

Where should I put my EZPass if I dont want it to be read?

Only 3% of cars sold in the US have stick shifts with most automatics having manual shift capabilities. That number has dwindled from 12-15% in the late 80's, early 90's.

How come on my driving tuition progress booklet it said...?

Other than lengthy stop and go traffic, where I'll tend to look for the nearest exit rather than torture myself, I'll enjoy driving any stick shift car anywhere.
