Question:
I will work in midtown Manhattan as a trading assistant (hours 7am-7pm). I have a new car and I absolutely love it. Is it possible to live in Jersey City, Hoboken, Union City, Queens, Or Brooklyn (or anywhere feasible) and pay around $1500-1800 or so a month to have a studio or 1 BR with a parking spot (or pay some more and get a house)? I would prefer not to have a roommate and definitely need a parking spot. The area has to be safe and near the Path/Transit. Please suggest any neighborhoods, cross roads, or apartment names. I have no problem getting up at 5:30am and spending 1h in travel time. THANKS!

Shouldn't Winnipeg get an underground subway?
I would HIGHLY recommend you live in Weschester county. Try Tarrytown NY which is beautiful.....or Ardsely or Dobbs Ferry. The commute is easy (I did it for years). You could also check out Riverdale which is a beautiful section of the Bronx. You can get a reasonable and beautiful apartment there and most buildings have garages with assigned parking. Good luckYou should consider the bronx. ie riverdale is really nice and has the 1,9 line and metro north train down to manhattan. If you live in white plains the express metro north is only 30 min to grand central, the local metro north trains through yonkers about the same, and it is usually easier to find parking in the area.
What are the commute times around San Jose, e.g. from Evergreen to Sunnyvale?
Here's one in Parkcester with parking off the 6 line.
