What kind of problems are you having? The cheapest way, depending on the problems your having, would most likely be getting it fixed. Having it shipped cost alot and your gonna have to fix eventually, so dont pay twice. Most dealerships will work with you on your bill. See the dealer.

If the repairs are too expensive, then it may be best for you to tow the car behind a moving truck. On the other hand, repairs may be more expensive in PA, so you might wanna shop around for quotes in Dallas and the city you are moving to if you have the time. This all depends on how you are moving the rest of your stuff. When we relocated from New England to West Virginia, we rented a moving truck and car carrier from Budget. The car carrier hooks onto the back of the moving van which he then drove down. The car gets a free ride on the car carrier. If you are using a moving company, they can probably refer you to someone who can take it via a larger car carrier with other peoples cars. If you don't have much stuff to move (like all your stuff will fit in your car), I'm not sure at that point what to suggest. You could try it and pray that it makes it!

You may not want to ship the car. PA has stringent inspection programs and you may end up spending even more just to have it registered. Brakes, tires and muffler, and engine are all inspected for "safety". This is just a way for the repair shops to make more money. Some shops will require new brakes, others mufflers depending on their speciality. I had one tell me I needed new CV joints to pass. In fact, stay in TX where I just moved. Inspection took 10 minutes and the car passed with flying colors. Also no income tax unlike PA....
