if you live in those newer apt by ocean blvd and pine... like the park at harborview apartments... and work near by, then you are set. You have almost everything nearby....restaurants, shopping, bank, 24 hour fitness...and most importantly the ocean! But if you live in the northern parts, its really kinda. But don't forget about the train... metro blue line, goes between long beach and LA.
do you have any options when the truck you purchase gets 25% less gas mileage than the epa standard (epa 21)?

I lived in Manhattan Beach and rode to Culver City every day for work. This was my solution to living in S. Cal w/o care. Pretty much have to make these kinds of changes. The USA is pretty backwards when it comes to transportation, generally, but one of the cheapest places for all modes of transport. Maybe they go together?
