Well since most of the idiots in this country drive trucks that they have no use for. Lets say the average for trucks is about 10 to 12 mpg.Especially considering the fact they all think that traffic laws do not apply to them and go over the speed limit by 15 to 20 mph. which does not help the gas mileage. Yes this country could save a lot of gas if we could get these idiots out of unnecessary vehicles.It is just another one of the many reasons Americans look and act stupid.

Please explain why Auto Companies and Auto Workers are against having fuel efficiency/mpg standards increased?

if i had t figure an average ,over all id say around 8 gallons per vehicle,there will also be a difference though in the day of the week,or the driving conditions,but on an over all per day id say 8 gallons per day per vehicle,good luck i hope this help,s.
