We should move towards building systems that address the pollution aspect too... For example, building extensive network of electric rail systems is a good solution. It would work for us from the population aspect as well. Most of our cities are not well-planned so laying wider roads is not an option there. We could go for 4 lane roads that connect inter-states and inter-cities.
