Make sure that the speed recorded for you was by the machine was lowered down by the maximum deviation of the specific beam used on you.

Not much luck on this one. Most state drivers hand books are very specific on the distance permited between you and oncoming vehicles when you have your high beams on. Check your drivers manual and see if you can verify the distance when you were ticketed. That will be tough though. Better to pay the fine then have to pay fine and court costs.
