permit don't cost anything unless you want to take it before your 18. just wait till you 18, go take the test, and the road test, $40. and get your liscense. just like that. thats what i did.question for people who drive in very congested, traffic jam areas?
that varies from state to state. expect to pay between 2 and 350, maybe even up to 400 if you need help with the permit you take the class and behind the wheel. i took lessons twice it cost about 500 for 10 lessons. it takes longer for some people to learn than others so i would suggest taking the class and behind the wheel. then if you use their car for the road test, it was 180. prepare to take an extra set of lessons too.In most states you can get a license at 18 or 21 without having to take classes. But if you want to get your license at 16 you will need to take classes. The prices range from $100 all the way up to $600 depending on where you go. Some public school systems and community colleges offer it as part of their curriculum.
