I am not sure if it is 28 cents per mile, believe that was years ago, to calculate, miles xxx and gallons xx price. Here it is 2.75per gallon and my truck gets 9 miles per gallon that is 24.75 for a short distance. So mine is 31 cents before I would include wear and tear. Check with the maker of your automobile they can instruct you on costs and where you live. When I use my truck it is 45 cents per mile. I also do fire extinguisher equipment so it is a bit more expensive.
