Question:
Suppose you had to go to work in a horse and buggy or a
model T 25 mph. The speed limit is 35, you go 45 but yet
cars fly pass. The thing about it is you always catch up with them at the next red light. Their rush has accomplished nothing. A preacher said as he stood beside the bed of many dying patients, none said,"I wish I worked five jobs and didn't
have time for you.
Answers:
I need help figuring out how much money for gas I will need.?
Three reasons:1) We get off to work late, sometimes because we aren't ready to wake-up just yet or because we couldn't find something. We just want to minimize how late we are.
2) It's a lot easier to get through a light at higher speeds. It gives us more distance to squeeze through the light because faster speeds allow an easier passage through green lights and a much larger window of opportunity during a yellow light; better chances to avoid being stopped by a light (but many times this is unavoidable).
3) It makes us feel powerful and in control of otherwise insecure lives. It establishes our social position on the road as better than all those who we pass. It says that I am more important than you other drivers, because my time is more precious than yours. It empowers our minds psychologically and makes us feel better about ourselves with respect to society. People wisely tend to make way and give clearance for those who speed, because it minimizes the safety risk to themselves when speeders spend less time around them.

Ever noticed that the best of the "time hoggers" are always the people who think they are gonna miss out on somthing. You would be amazed at how much psychology is revealed in things like that. People who rush dont appreciate much of the things that really count in life so they take on a philosophy that says "you snooze you loose" or "the early bird gets the worm" when in reality without all the electronics and computers there was always time for things then and there is still time for things now. But to use a word like unappreciative its more like greed. Now a days folks think that even being comfortable financialy is still not enough. Primarily the money hungry and careerless peeps are the ones you see out there runing from stop light to stop light. what a sad bunch. Now imagine if greed wasnt one of the sins of the world. Man would we be better off.The speed limit is 80 km per hour. how long would it take to drive 12.9 kilometers?
The thing about it is you always catch up with them at the next red light.------------------------------...
That is the funny part. They fail to realize there's 2 great equalizers to their speed demon ways. Traffic and lights. One or the other will almost ALWAYS slow you down.
How can i put my car in the car show??
If you were walking down the highstreet, casually window shopping and someone came rushing along the pavement behind you, clearly in a rush to be somewhere, you'd step to one side and let them pass without a moments hesitation, so why does it bother you when its on the road?If your not in a hurry, pull over and let me pass and we'll all get along just fine.
It's a good release of aggression from a long boring day at work to jump in your car and fly around everyone and get the finger several times. Not to mention a bit of a rush.

Again, Illinois law states you cannot drive in the left-most lane unless you are passing. Yet, I see some people try to SIT out there as if to pass judgment on those trying to speed. Guess what, dumb***? You wanted to try and keep me from breaking ONE (1) law, and you have now yourself broke the exact same number of laws -- ONE (1)...

Am I the only one who avoids highways n freeways?
...oh, and I'm *STILL* not done...
Local municipalities absolutely LOVE to try and time their lights to keep people from "speeding" through their area. So they set it up so you're required to stop basically every block or every other block regardless of how fast or slow you go. You're *impeding* progress by doing this, not enabling it. NOW, if you've got it set up so that the next street's light changes to green after an appropriate amount of time has passed from the previous light (in order to quelch speed without impeding progress) than that is okay. But if you're speeding to get through the next light before it changes to red... then again some ****ing moron (big surprise) has been delegated the task of "traffic management" and apparently given the authority to impede progress at all costs.
