how does someone actually get a ticket on the freeway? i dont get it. unless youre going like 130, how does that happen? i mean if the speed limit is like 65, how many people actually go 65? i mean when you got normal streets, theres some people that actually go speed limit and some that dont, but freeway, its like everyone goes over. if everyone's going like 80, how do police actually pick who theyre going to pull over? how does that work?

Police pretty much can do whatever they wantIf you are going over the posted speed limit the police have the right to give you a ticket. They can ticket any car they choose to ticket, it does not matter if a hundred cars are speeding the policeman can only catch one at a time.
Of course, with the new speed cameras they are going to catch everyone and send them a ticket by mail

Theres an electronic tag on a lot of cars(all the newer models) ...in Oregon they have special equipment that records you and five miles down the road there is another...a computer calculates the speed and they mail you a ticket if you were speeding. He responded with this: Do you ever go fishing?

When there is traffic ahead, slow down. You know what I mean, that 65 mph traffic jam up ahead. You can't get through real easily. And believe me, they will notice you slamming through at 85 in heavy traffic. Now they will stop you for that, and I really can't blame them.
