I'm looking for a new insurance company for both my car and apartment insurance.
If your driver's license is suspended in one state, can you apply for one in another state?
Who do you recommend, and who should I stay away from?

Answers:
I have had good coverage from Allstate, in both car and renters insurance. The price of their insurance policies seems to be reasonable. I must say that I have never needed to file a claim with them in over twenty years of patronage. I think the best advice is to shop around and buy a policy from a company with a good, solid reputation.

Amica and Geico have strong track records for both kinds of insurance. I have Geico for car and Amica for homeowners and love both, but it might be smarter to use the same company. My wife and I use 21 Century ins for many years and they have undercut all of them out there combined. That is for auto only. they do have Home, but do not have them as we use Farmers for them. The same is with them. We have had them for many years. We have shopped around each year to make sure of the rates and this is our findings.Why do u need drivers license, yet u dont need baby license? Or vote License?

I don't know about apartment insurance Flower, but Wawanesa is the cheapest insurance you can find. They also have better than average service. They are based out of San Diego, CA. I use to think Mercury Insurance was the cheapest until I discovered this car insurance. They keep a pretty low profile. Good Luck!Stay away from all of them, take the bus, they're all crooks.

The most important thing is to get proper insurance. Make sure you have sufficient coverage to cover all of your belongings in your apartment. On your car have uninsured motorists insurance, and have the added coverage that it is covered as your coverage covers. Both of these cost very little more. Uninsured motorist is becoming more necessary over time, depending where you live, the influx of illegal aliens has made this a bigger problem. Stay away from State Farm! The house I grew up in had been in the family for generations and had been insured by State Farm for fifty years when a pipe burst and flooded our house in December 2001. The company they hired was awful and left our house a tore up mess for eight weeks! The company THEY HIRED did the repair incorrectly and two weeks after they finished it happened again. State Farm then REFUSED to cover the house any more because there were two claims on it, even though the second claim was from the incompetance of a company THEY HIRED. I could not believe it! After fifty years of my family giving them business, they totally bailed on us! In treating us badly they also lost the business of the rest of my family who had other houses insured with them.My sister has Countryside and has always been happy with her agent and the service from the company. She has house, car, and life insurance with them.
