IF the first accident was paid by another partys insurance, you are probably safe to bank the check. No reason for you to tell anybody the carhad damage you were paid for already.
IF you were then hit by somebody else and this totaled the car, and it was their fault, and they don't figure that car was already damaged, you can probably take that money too.
