Recently passed my driving test in November, I have since bumped another car - which is going through insurance. I have now also gained 6 points for speeding, (42mph in 30mph) then (41mph in 30mph). I know I will lose my licence, but does anyone know for how long, or do I just resit test?
Does anybody also know how this will affect my insurance premium, as it is already £68pm now.

Well, for us American people, it depends on the states laws. I was doing 72 in a 55 and got my license taken away for 30 days. But I really don't know how the laws in the UK work. And yes, speeding tickets WILL affect your insurance.Getting your license in Oregon?

I take it you are in the UK??If yes, as you have gained 6 points in the first 2 years after taking your test you will be revoked under the new drivers act. The 2 speeding offences will probably be fixed penalties and once DVLA is made aware of these via the fixed penalty office or the court they will write to you to advise that your licence will be revoked 5 days from the date of the letter and invite you to apply for another provisional licence.

You will need a D1 form from any postoffice. No photo, No ID, and a fee of £38. You will then get a provisional back and can then take your theroy and practical test again.
Can you also take a class for a Permit at the DMV insted of the Drivers ed school?
So as long as you are not banned by a court you can apply for your prov again straight away and take your tests.
