I am a 17 year old US citizen who will be visiting England this summer. Is it legal for me to drive with my US drivers license? It is not considered a provisional license in America, since I am 17, but it does have a few restrictions, like max 0% alcohol blood level until age 18. I will be age 17 at the time of visiting.

No, you can't drive with just a US license. You need to get an IDP (International Driver's Permit), which you can obtain from your local AAA office.If you passed your US driving test in an automatic transmission car, you may well be restricted to an automatic here. If it was a stick, no problem. Check with the AAA.

Don't bother with an international permit, they're a waste of time as long as you have a licence from a recognised authority like US Licence issuers.
