Car Collission Insurance, Pls help?

How much should/can I ask for in a car wreck settlement?
Now, here's what I need to know: In the process of retrieving this car title, my dad lost it. Yeah, I know -- who in the world would lose something like that? Well, lo-and-behold, he did. So I need to know if there is any way that a new car title can be produced since the last one was lost? And if this document cannot be reproduced, what should I do?

Homowners Claim or Auto Insurance claim?
The person of record on the DMV computer is the person who must request a duplicate title. If you never had a chance to go to DMV an change the ownership, then you still are not the owner in their eyes. They won't give a copy to you. Ask the person that sold you the car to request a new title from DMV, wait 6-8 weeks for them to receive it, and then they can sign it over to you. You will be walking for a while.its a sinch, go to the dmv website for ur state, ull need the vin number and other things and 10 bucks but they send it to u
