Hi , gotta problem need to make a claim have no mot but do have insurance & tax , any ideas, i need help pls?

i've crashed my car, it's only 3yrs 1month old, i have insurance and tax, but unfortunately no mot its only 1 month ou and i just forgot, anyone know if the insurance company will pay up? feeling very desperate!
