My husband and I each moved I came from Ohio and him from Texas to New Mexico my question is what do you do with the old liscense plates from a different state? Can you just throw them away or is there someone your supposto give them to ?
Answers:
Just scratched a car in a car park...?
Some states require that the plates be turned in to the state that issued them, others do not have that requirement. So check with Ohio and Texas if they need their plates back. If those states do NOT require you to turn them back into the state, I would destroy them. Basically that protects you from someone else getting a hold of them and using them for some unscrupulous reason or putting them on a stolen car.How do I get a international drivers licence?

My second car, I brought the plates to the DMV because I had just renewed the stickers and was in a car accident. So I needed a refund and they needed the plate as proof.
I guess you can either keep them of throw them away, but if you throw them out, make sure that they can't be re-used by someone else.
