he is talking about the Validation code, not the Q plate registration it is a completely different thing.

How can i get vehicle registration info on cars i had along time ago?

I dont know what it is but i have a garage and all the V5's have different validation codes ranging from letters of the alphabet to the numbers 1 to 9.

Darcydiddler's right - nothing to do with a "Q" plate. The validation code is just something used by DVLA to help prove validity of documents. As far as I know, it's created randomly, doesn't actually imply anything at all.
