I live in Texas, and trust me,. no where in the world will they allow you to drive with an online license of any sort. You will need to go to a local DPS and apply. There, they will test your sight, get your fingerprints, take your picture, and have your signature.

If this is your first time to get a license or a license in the state after the previous one has expired, you will need to take a test (unless you've already taken one from a Driver's Education Class). And no, you cannot take the test online.
