Does a ticket for not wearing your seat belt affect your car insurance in CA for a 20 year old?

Question:

Answers:

What is "gap" insurance? Do I need it?

No. It won't affect your insurance. Only moving violations affect insurance rates (i.e. speeding tickets, running stop signs, etc.). It's just a fine.

Is this rear ender a Hit & Run in Florida?

I'm not sure I agree with the person above me. I dont' have anything to support this but common sense, but it seems to me that it would raise your insurance. If you don't wear your seatbelt and you get in an accident, you are many times more likely to be injured, which means more money the insurance company may have to fork out, depending on how your coverages are set up.
