Question:
I am a New Jersey driver under my parent's insurance. I am 19 years old and i just got a ticket for supposedly running a stop sign. Which I am positive i did not do since i had seen the cop at the corner. I am not dumb enough to run a stop sign if i see the cop there. Anyway he gave me a ticket for running the stop sign and i would just like to know if i just plead guilty and pay the fine instead of going to court and dealing with all the court fees and all, would my insurance go up, and if so, how much?
Answers:
How can they suspend my drivers license if i never had one?
The cheapest way is to go to traffic school. The points on your license would be suspended and your insurance won't go up. If you choose to fight the ticket and lose, you could end up worse I don't know what it would cost to go to traffic school, but I am sure it would be less of a headache than trying to beat the rap. Dont take the ticket as personal, there are plenty of worse things that could happen. It's a moving violation which means at least 4 points (possible 6). The insurance rates may go up depending on your insurer. If you have a witness you can use, you may want to fight it (or some way to prove your case). You may at least get the judge to reduce the fine or number of points.
Ineed car insurance but i don't have a debit card so who do i go to?
It doesn't matter in the least if you "saw the cop at the corner" or not. You either did, or did not, come to a full stop at the sign. If you did, go to court and tell them you did. If you didn't, pay the fine. Yes, your insurance can go up.(Full stop means that...not slow down and slide through, FULL STOP.)
