It depends on where you are going. Most english speaking countries don't require you to get a new license when in their country to drive. I am not sure about non-english speaking countries though. When I lived in Australia, I was allowed to drive as long as I have my American drivers license and passport on me. I never had an issue.If the DMVs are anything like they are in America over seas, I might think twice about getting a license somewhere else... you'd like to think that America would be efficient right? :)
