Question:
I just got my DL in Wyoming renewed. It is good till 2011. If I go back to Ohio do I have to get an Ohio Driver's License to register my car? I know they law says you are supposed to get a DL within a certain amount of time, but what will they do if you don't? Can't I say I still live in Wyoming? Ohio makes it really hard to change DL from another state. They want you to take the written test again (Stupid I think, cause I have a valid DL from another state and I have NO tickets or accidents.) Was just wondering.
Answers:
Is there anywhere you can go to view auto insurance claims?
Registering your car in Ohio is Prima Facia evidence that you reside here. Under Ohio law you must obtain an Ohio Driver's License within 30 days after you have established residency here. If you are stopped by the Police after that time you will be charged with no operator's license. Even if you claim you still live in another State, the registration is enough evidence.Does anyone know where I can find a list of average auto insurance rates by vehicle?
It's cheaper to get a license, trust me.

Where can i find a 1939 georgia license plate?
They want you to take a written test again?! Thats crazy! I live in ohio and see some pretty stupid rules.ehhhhhhI'm sure they can fine you or something----and if you get busted too many times, maybe court. But, do you have someone in Wyoming that you can use for an address? I have a friend in GA who has lived here 4 years, 3 of them working for a lawyer, and keeps her id and tags FL. Just keep in mind there are a few things that may hinder your situation, so if you think it is worth it to take a risk, go for it. But if you are able to just go ahead and take the test and get it over with, it will lead to a lot fewer headaches.
How can you find out someone's license plate number?
Register your car in Wyoming.Otherwise you will have to do what Ohio requires. If you decide to live in Ohio. You will still have to get an Ohio license.Usually there is a time limit as to how long you can keep your Wyoming license before exchanging them. Most states give 60 to 90 days to do this. How do I find out who a vehicle tag is registerd to, is there a place where I can search on the net?
Why do people think systems should change for them? If you live in Ohio, you will have to get an Ohio driver licence. You can't just say you live somewhere else. You are considered an Ohio resident once you: take a job, sign a lease, buy a home, register to vote, or enroll children in school. Ohio has reciprocity agreements. You can normally change your Wyoming licence for an Ohio one, unless you have restrictions, in which case it is up to the examiner. How do you think you are going to get insurance in Ohio if you are claiming to live somewhere else? Insure in Wyoming with a fake address, and you have no coverage in event of a claim. That is fraud. Live in Ohio with a Wyoming licence after the time limit, and you will not have a valid driver licence. Don't try to assert some imagined rights - you will end up losing.Car tax group G does the increase apply to all registered vehicles or those 1 year old and onwards ?
they can give you a ticket for not getting the right state license. In most states you don't have to have a license to register a car because you don't have to have a license to own a car just to drive one. There are a lot of people that own cars but have other people drive them.Your question is kind of confusing but I think I understand what you’re asking. My first question would be why avoid the inevitable? OK so Ohio makes it hard to change your DL but it is after all the law. If Ohio is going to become your home State or you’re going to be there for more than a year you might as well go ahead and do the right thing. Which is changing your license and your registration to the State in which you permanently reside? Yea it’s frustrating and it can get expensive, but it’s the right thing to do. Not to mention over a period of time you could be stopped, you could be ticketed so on and so on.
Go ahead and bite the bullet and stop trying to circumvent the law it will better for you in the long run.
Take care and good luck with your move.
Car insurance question- how does this work??
Note to Fisherwoman: In Texas if you posses a valid license from another State you do not have to take any exams but the eye test.
I was in a MVA and it was completely the other guys fault...?
You could get away with it if you don't get stopped by the police. If you do, you'll probably get a ticket for it at the least. It could annoy the cop and make it harder to talk your way out of the ticket for the other thing. On the other hand he might decide to write you for that alone instead of a more serious violation. You never know.

By law, you must declare residence within thirty days in most states. No, you cannot use you Wyoming license, not the driver license, not the vehicle license/tabs. You must state where you physically live. All states require a written test if moving from a different state, if it lapses, you have to take the driving part also. These laws are designed to help put an end to identity theft, to allow cities to receive the correct amount of money for their roads/maintenance through the emission testing requirements if you live in an urban area, and states share driver/vehicle information because of driving issues that are unresolved, or stolen vehicles.
