pay up out of your own pocket and dont make waves the other person may put you into the cops and then it will cost moreWhich CA DMV in the SF Bay Area has the shortest non-appt wait times on Saturday Mornings?
pay for his damages out of your pocket,do whatever with your vehicle, and keep it to yourselfs if he agrees !This is going to sound pretty bad but hear goes... If the cops didn't come and have a look at the accident you could probably deny the whole thing ever happened. That would place it in the hands of their insurance company who would probably refuse to pay up due to a lack of police report.

Give a false name, never drive by there again! Also go out and get some insurance!Did anybody give you a hard time when it took you longer to get your drivers liscence?
You are a grownup, act like one. Just because the other person was nice enough not to call the police doesn't mean you should be a jerk & stiff them on repair bills. They saved you points on your license & possible a license forfeiture for lack of insurance. If you aren't able to pay all at once try to work out a payment plan You absolutely should not just forget about it.Was in a car accident whilst on the way to garage to get tyres changed and....?
first off don't listen to the jackass that told you to pretend it didn't happen or whatever...in most states the police don't have to respond to and make a report on any accident that has neither serious bodily injury or death as a result...the reporting of accidents in other than the above case is at the discretion of the police officer and usually follows some SOP on damage to property...it is a service they provide to the taxpayers...it does not matter if you report the accident or not...they might...to their insurance company...and they will conduct a registration query and they will find out who you are...they you will pay a sur charge for the next 5 years...so pay the person out of you pocket for the damage you caused...the same thing just happened to me and I tried to avoid the sur charge by paying out of my pocket but the asshole contacted his insurance company after I paid for the part i broke...try anywayYou pay for their damages out of your own pocket. If you don't, the other party can sue you in small claims court to receive the payments.
