Question:
I was driving without insurance/registration and I got caught.
I actually had the car/myself insured at this time but did not have the insurance card on me when I was caught. Although, the bigger problem is that I haven't renewed my car registration since 2004 and do not have any proof of registration for the car during the time that I got aticket for no insurance.
So now I paid the ticket for no registration and all went fine. But now I have to appear in court for the no insurance. And I do have proof of insurance now but I know that the judge will want to see the proof of registration as well (not sure why).
How can I get a UK Drivers Licence while keeping my NZ Licence?
What should I do? The car has also been sold a few weeks ago...Should I just go up to the judge with just proof of insurance and the old registration from 2004 and hope for the best, or what?

Insurance for my 17 year old daughter?
If you had insurance at the time of the citation just bring proof of that I am pretty sure this legally is the major concern and what would cause you to lose your license if you didn't have it . As far as registration goes, tell the judge you are selling the vehicle and have no intentions of driving it, so you will not waste the time effort and money to register it. If you don't want to do this then go get it registered..the worst that will happen is you will pay a fine for the delinquency in registration likely equal to the amount it would have cost to register all those years, but that is just a guess.felon gets put in jail, then pays $20.000 for bail,.
Make sure you show up to court with valid insurance. Go online & find a cheap policy. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.
