Some may be hard cases and give you a ticket, but you should be able to take the ticket and your license to the court and get it dropped, just paying minimal court costs.

Depending on where you are, you will get a fine or a warning, in Nova Scotia I believe it is $180.00 for driving without your license in your car. You might just get a warning if you end up with a nice cop.
