If a car is covered by a warranty, then like any other item bought the warranty has to be honered. If you buy a computer say and if fails after three weeks you take it back they ether repair it or change it, they do not charge for the repair, unless the seal or the cover has been removed. If the car has been tampered with in anyway and they can prove it, ie the car has been driven recklessly or something like and a part has failed because of the way it was driven then yes they can charge otherwise they must repair the car without charge.Is the car under warranty or just the parts in question?
If the car is still under warranty, it should have had the service done at the dealership.
If it's just the parts, The garage is ripping you off and should be flogged & reported to the authorities

That's what your state attorney general does for a living! File a complaint and let them hash it out with the shop! If it is in NYS report the shop to the DMV! The shops number has to be displayed in a conspicuous area so customers can get it to report unethical business practices! read the warranty if the parts are not listed you pay if they are listed you dont hand money over!is it possible you have only paid for certain parts for the job.
