Question:
I'm 17 - Got a speeding ticket, was wondering if anyone in Illinois, specifically Dupage county was able to get their ticket dismissed by taking Traffic Safety School - if so, where did you get permission to take the class from? Do I need to go to court and ask for permission from the judge or is it from the clerk?

I can help you...Just did this!Who is at fault in this car accident?
The answer is yes, you can go to Traffic School to get the ticket removed from your record. You will still need to pay the cost of the ticket and an administrative fee for taking Traffic School.
Look at the back of the ticket - There will be instructions for different options: 1)Pay the ticket 2) Pay the ticket and go to traffic school or 3) contest the ticket.

I dont have a Social Security Number and i want to drive?
Not in Illinois now, but was born in DuPage County and graduated from Downers Grove High in '57. You will have to appear and talk to the judge. Just ask him if you can attend traffic school to keep the ticket off your record for insurance purposes. If this is not one of many tickets, what they will generally do is give you a fine to pay, and place you on probation for a time, usually 6 months. If you receive no other tickets in that time period, you can go back to court and they will reverse your conviction and the state will not be notified. Goes without saying that if you DO get another ticket you can plan on paying much higher insurance for years.More Questions & Answers ...
