Question:
I have had conflicting answers to this so i was just wondering if Australians can drive in the US on their own license without getting an international one?
Thanks!!

Can i keep the registration of my car even if it is not a personalised plate?
http://www.usa.gov/topics/foreign_visito..."An international driver's license must be obtained from your home country. This permit only verifies that you hold a valid license in your home country. It is your foreign driver's license that allows you to drive in the United States. Contact the authorities in your home country to get an international driving permit, as the United States does NOT issue international driver's licenses to foreign visitors."
Can anyone tell me the name of the website that has a graphicof an animal on a vehicle?

You will want to carry both your actual license and the IDP to ensure you will have no trouble with the police should you get stopped and asked to produce identification and proof of licensure.
i would assume that you had to eventually get an international license to drive in the u.s.
