Go to your insurance and tell them what happened and they can or will decide if they want to pay. Most likely in a case like this your insurance will decide not to pay. Also it is your word against theirs and your insurance company will take you word.

A tip for anyone reading this. Always keep a camera in the car. If you have any type of accident, then you can take pictures of all vehicles involved; all parties involved; the location; and even any witnesses. Always get the names & addresses, & phone numbers of as many people/witnesses, etc. It can prevent someone calling you in the future, like with this event, trying to blame you for something that might have happened after your event...and it doesn't matter where the event took place.
