My car is registered in WI but I live in IL?

Question:
I moved to Wisconsin for a little while and I had to get it registered there, now I'm living back in Illinois. The insurance policy still is for IL.(I never changed it) 90% of the time the car is driven in IL. Is that ok to do with plates from Wisconsin?

Answers:

License without behind the wheel test?

As long as it's insured it should be cool.. I know in IL your only given a 30 day period to switch your plates over... That is of course if your caught by the police... I always just told the police I was there on vacation... I also lived in WI then IL... I had wi license, and plates at that time...

Cheap car insurance 22yr old just passed test but have been banned for drink driving?

If you are a resident of Illinois again, you will have to get Illinois plates.

What do you need to know in drivers training?

Actually, cars should be insured in the state they are registered in. Since you live in Illinois and your insurance is in Illinois, you should just reregister the car and get Illinois plates.
