Registration sticker replacement?

I just received my new reg sticker and in the process of putting it on my car I accidentally ripped it. Does the RMV replace these stickers if requested?

Yes !! Take the torn sticker to the local Department of Motor Vehicles Office and they will give you a new one.

wow...they're pretty hard to rip...Why not just put the pieces together?. I don't think they will give replacements without some type of charge... as long as you have a valid registration the plate sticker with a rip will work just fine.
