Question:
I may possibly be buying a 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood 60" stretch Limousine and I was wondering if insurance would be rediculously high or possibly the same price as a Non-limousine Cadillac Fleetwood. The person selling it said it would be priced as a standard Cadillac Fleetwood if I had just Liability. I would only be insuring it with liability. If you need to know I am 23 years old and I don't plan to commute with this everyday only for recreational purposes and traveling.

Hit and run, drunk driver medical bills insurance?
A lot of insurance companies limit the vehicle types that they will write on personal auto policies.Regardless of your intended usage, you may very well have to insure it on a commercial policy because of the type of vehicle it is. And at 23, you'd have a VERY difficult time getting commercial insurance. If you could get it, you'd be shocked how much it would cost for just liability.
Living in Germany as a government employee and my Georgia license has expired. Can I get a new one?
** Edited to add:
It's not just a question of the state (although that certainly can play into it); it's up to the individual companies. Companies have to file underwriting criteria with the state and they're required to adhere to those standards. I've worked for an insurance agency since 1978 and I don't have a single company where I could write a limo as a private passenger vehicle on a personal auto policy.
It's all in the details. Be sure you check first.
I was in a car accident Saturday, could I have some advice?
Liability is usually based on factors such as engine size, so it should be the same. Get a pair of quotes from two companys that you don't have and compare the two of them like that.Insurance claims limitations for missouri?
if the vehicle is not going to be a commercial usethe insurance will be just like any other vehicle
Any idea how much insurance is on a slightly new mustang for a 16 year old?
Is it titled as a commercial / livery vehicle? Should you ever accept payment for a ride or recreational use and are involved in an accident you'd be "IN A HEAP OF TROUBLE". Even as a livery vehicle and 12 yrs old I seriously doubt full coverage would be that much. At $30 an hr with a minimum of 4 hrs I can't figure out why ya wouldn't want to make some cash with it? And if someone (and there are a lot of people who don't want to fly) should want to book you for a 4+ hr trip and pay you the same price for a 1st class seat to drive them SH---- MAN!! you could roll in some hefty dough. There was an article in our paper about just that same thing. And the people riding want a roomy ride where they can organize and plan whatever business deal they have goingMore Questions & Answers ...
