SA Drivers Licence for British drivers licence?

Question:
Thanks to you all who answered my question earlier..one more on this subject...is there any charge for the above ? and does any one know...once they have cancelled your SA drivers licence (should you go back to SA) would you have to resite a drivers licence test as they cancelled your licence or can one just apply to have it reinstated.or can one drive in SA with a Brisith drivers licence...

My hubby did his about 2 months ago, it was £45. He took it to the DVLA in Wimbledon with his passport (did not want to post the passport), and they charged an additional £8 for doing the passport check on the spot.
As for what happens when / if you go home. I think you are ok to drive around on the British license while on holiday, then it's the usual - pay pay pay! and expect the word eish! to come your way!
