Most insurance companies have it written into your contract that you can't be liable to yourself - ie, you'll have to have coverage on both cars and pay the deductible for each because you can't use your own liability coverage to pay for another vehicle you own and insure.It's unfortunately because some people would be more than happy to damage their own property for a little cash. Unless your company doesn't have this clause, you're paying two deductibles (assuming you want both cars fixed. If you only want to pay one deductible, only get the car with the worst damage fixed - I can't imagine the rear bumper of the other car is all that bad.)

but two different vehicle were involved. it greatly depends on ur insurance company. some over coverage when this situation happens u only pay for one. call ur agent & ask a generic questions.Might not be covered at all.Don't play games ,just call and ask.
