Question:
Driving in the UK today, my car was hit by a car from behind. becuase of that , my car lurched forwards and crashed into a car in front.
The car in front did not suffer much damage. I have third party insurance. Who pays who ? Should i settle with the guy in front to protect my no claims bonus ?
Answers:
He caused it, he pays that simple.
Call your insurance and have them deal with it, it won't effect your no claims.
How long do no claims bonus last when not insured?
I asked this same question a few days ago and apparantly the person who first rear ended you is responsible for the damage to the car you hit too.You shouldnt be responsible for anything.Traffic court or pay the ticket?
Im sure somebody will know and give you a 10,000 word answer, but personally, the insurance should be laid onto the person who caused the crash, ie the guy that hit you from behind. Did you have the handbrake on? if not, they may try to get some out of you for being partially at fault.the car at the rear, his insurance will pay for all damage to all the cars. as he caused the accident. As long a he has full insurance
My car has been vandalised, apart from insurance claim can I claim some where else?
The guy you hit will claim from your insurance...your insurance will claim from the insurance of the guy who rear ended you...Don't worry though, your NC should not be affected.
PS..You could claim compensation if you suffered whip lash or similar injury.

Leave it to the insurance to fight itCar insurance for people who commute by train. Who does this?
Like Welsh lad say, give all the info to your insurers and let them earn their money - that's what you pay them for. I hope, by the way, that you didn't admit any liability. My commiserations.
