I am new to the US, living in CT. How do I get a driver's license? Thanks!?

Question:
I have never driven before, and need to know - do I need a provisional license/permit in order to practice with a friend? If so, how do I get it?

I'm looking for auto insurance (SR22A) but I do not have a car?

Look in the Yellow Pages under "Driving Schools".

What do I need to bring to the DMV if I am getting my learners permit?

My guess would be you will need to pass a test.

How much is the insurance for a teen driver in a mustang, compared to a teen driver in a volvo or honda??

I would say the best place to start is your local DMV. They normally will ask you to bring your birth certificate, proof of residence like an electric bill or telephone bill, a picture ID, proof of insurance and they will walk you through it and answer your questions. They normally will give you a handbook to go through in order to take a test to get your license.

PA Driving Permit?

First go down to the DMV get a study book, read up, take the test. if you pass they will give u a permit to drive with a licensed driver so you can practice for the drive test....or you can take a drivers ed course in your state.....hope this helps www.dmv.org/ct-connecticut/dri...
