Ontarions-Question about deductible!?

Question:
To make things short..i wasn't even sure i rear ended some guy...all i know it's i hard braked and the guy in front of me keep moving then he stopped and said i hitted him...all i could relate is maybe a minor scratched...my car.no damage AT ALL.i asked him to go get an estimate from a dealer but he refused then he called me back 5 minutes later and told me he can't open his trunk.(yeah right!) but then he called me an hour later and tried to ripped me off for $300-i'm pretty sure it cost more than that if his trunk couldn't open coz of me.since i've been unemployed now for health reasons for more than a year so all i could afford is $200...he refused and tried to ripped me off and told me to deposit $$ to hise account (WTF?!?! )...so he was bascially screaming at me saying that he will report to the police, etc, etc. but at the time of the accident, i called 911 and they gave me an incident number and i even went to the collision and the police said the accident is not reportable but he thinks i'm lying to him..whatever...then he was threatening me saying he will go through insurance and stuff...i already asked my insurance company and they said b/c it is my first time and as long as i don't make any claim for my vehicle so it won't affect my premium..(SWEET!! i can save $200)..now...my question is...if he were to go through insurance.what's the process would be like for him? can he blame his old damages (his trunk!) on me too? and does he need to pay deductible? does insurance pays for damage that's like $200?!? any input would be great~~

Would it be cheaper to by a car in washington instead of montana?

The insurance adjuster will investigate before they pay. They can tell the difference between new & old damages. You can ask them to look at your car too to show them that there is no damage & you even question whether you hit him. If they find that you did the damage, they will pay for his damage from your property damage liability. There is no deductible for this coverage. If he calls you during the process, do not talk to him & refer him to the insurance adjuster. Once you have reported it, you are out of the loop. The adjuster will take your statement & his statement. It may take a while. You are their insured, not him. Hope this helps.
